Why does Carolyn challenge Riddick to rejoin the "human" race? He isn't human is he? He's Furyan. Or are all the different races in the Universe still considered human, but to have different ethnicity? Confused. |

Simple answer: Riddick was not originally Furyan at the time Pitch Black was made.
Complicated canon answer: The only intelligent life in the Riddick universe belong to humanoid beings. Much like the Native Americans being called "Indians", every race began to be called human as long as you were humanoid. The "human race" is just a way of saying: civilized society. As far as I am concerned, I consider Riddick to be human. __________________ "You're not afraid of the dark are you?" |

I though Furyans are a branch of humanity. __________________ ~Are you with me?

She is challenging him to act normal or "human" with a conscience __________________ Let your mind start a journey thru a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before.
